Dear Model T’ers Everywhere,

"A lady was telling her husband about the fine new automobile their neighbor was going to get. "What is the name of the car?" "I can’t remember, but it starts with a T." "That must be a Ford. All the others start with gasoline!" (Funabout Fords by J.J. White, The Howell Co., 1915).

As said in the last newsletter our next big event will be the SECOND ANNUAL Model T Car Show at J. Blanchard Park, just north of Hwy. 50 on Dean Road, in Orlando on March 28th 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Anyone and everyone that has a Model T is invited to bring their Model T – you do not have to be a member of our club – so please come and enjoy. Our contact person is Mike Bartlett @ 407-366-5616 or 407-521-6777 email TCPORL@Bellsouth.net The show is FREE, no registration, no fees, no taxes, no cost to come and exhibit. We will be having raffles, silent auctions, and trophies. This event is also being sponsored by the Orange County Parks and Recreation Service and they are providing vendors to sell snack foods. We have all of the goody bags that were stuffed at our last meeting for everyone that brings, drags, pulls, parks, pushes, coaxes, cajoles, carries ---- (you get the idea?!) --- a Model T to our get together! The order of the day is to have fun talking T!

This will also be a great time for you to bring along your cameras and take lots of pictures. Please don't forget to send/give some of those pictures to our Grand Web Master Joe Kaiser for him to update our website. If you haven't checked it out, please do at www.mtfccf.com. Joe has done an outstanding job, but we need to give him some more data and information to update and put our cars on the web site.

At our last meeting we had 36 folks that turned out for the meeting – plus 3 visitors which also joined the club. Our illustrious illustrated T Auctioneer – "Wally-Mobile" Schneider auctioned off a 1 ½ ton hoist that had originally seen days on a U.S. Navy submarine, a genuine Model T wrench, several model T books, and some miscellaneous items for fun and club profit. Poor Vince Leffler desperately wanted to spend some of his money, but just couldn’t seem to get Wally’s attention. Also gave away several new Model T magazines to new members and visitors at the meeting. Do you have something that you would like to donate to the club to raise a little fun and money? Bring it to the next meeting which will be on March 3rd, 7 p.m. at the Seminole Library in Casselberry -- you can come earlier, someone is usually there by 6 p.m.

One of our new members at the last meeting is also a member of The Crankin A’s of the Model A Restorer’s Club and they have also invited us to their Tools, Trades and Transportation meeting on March 27th at the Pioneer Art Settlement in Barberville, Florida. Show car registration is $10 per car prior to March 16th and $12 thereafter. This is a really nice event from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. with a swap meet, car show, model railroad display, antique wagons, craftsmen and wheelwright demonstrations. Wally and Angie Schneider also have provided us with an invitation to the 28th Annual Heritage Classic and Antique Car Show that will be hosted by the Volusia Region AACA at the New Smyrna Beach Airport on Saturday April 24.
